Outside Dogs

If you keep your dog outside all the time, he or she will not become a part of the family in the same way an indoor dog will. He will be a good watchdog (that is, if you don’t chain the poor thing up and make it psychotic.) but it will never learn to be your best friend.

I think it’s worth all the puppy house-breaking woes and training necessary to create a companion that is sensitive to your moods, and knows who is a friend and who is a foe. Now this might not be possible if you keep dogs for sporting purposes, or like I said as only a watchdog.

However, it seems a shame to have all that love and potential companionship go to waste.
