One of my pet peeves is how clueless some people can be when it comes to keeping their dog’s sensitive feet off hot asphalt. I want to shout at them “Why don’t you take off your shoes and socks and try walking barefoot across the road?”
So far I’ve managed to contain myself, but it is frustrating to see owners who obviously love their dogs pay no attention to this discomfort. The dogs even try to tell them, in their own way. They balk; they pull back on their leashes, anything to avoid that burning hot street.
So please, pay attention to this, especially when it’s so hot outside.
I just had to vent a little!
