I think we should all celebrate this holiday season, in our own way. Sure times ahead may be tough, but hanging out with family and good friends (human and canine) around the Christmas tree is one way of reminding ourselves of the importance of love and companionship.
You don’t have to spend a ton of money this year; in fact I think its good idea to cool it a little bit. There’s a lot you can do on a modest budget. Instead of your entire family getting each other gifts, why not draw names? You can spend a little extra time finding that perfect gift for just one person instead of running around like crazy at the last minute, beating your head against the mall walls on December 24th.
The greatest gift of course is the affection and love of your family, friends and pets. Count your blessings in that department and cut yourself some slack on overspending!
