Nearly everyone has heard of a dog that has saved a child from drowning, or defended its owner from an attacker . Dogs have been man and woman’s best friend ever since their domestication thousands of years ago. And one of their most valuable attributes is the ability to defend and protect.
Of course, in return we house, love and feed our best friends. I believe dogs need to feel valuable, just like any other intelligent being. It’s probably a thrill to a normally passive canine to jump on that rattlesnake, fangs bared whether that “snake” is human or reptile.
I love to spread the good word about these magnificent animals, no matter the breed. I’ve read about a brave little Chihuahua and a muscular pit bull both saving the lives of their owners.
