I just found out about this sweet little old lady dog , a dachshund-mix adopted by a soldier over 20 years ago. Her name is Chanel, and she is now almost twenty-one years of age. Her owner has had her through thick and thin. She has even outlived three other dachshunds adopted over the years!
It’s always amazing to read about such a long-lived pet. I think it must be wonderful to have shared so many memories with her over the years. I like to think part of it is related to her diet, which consists in part of whole-grain pasta! That wouldn’t surprise me one bit. I think our pets deserve as healthy a diet as we can provide for them, and obviously Chanel’s owner is aware of that and takes great care of her.
I especially loved the little red goggles she wears to protect her eyes, which have cataracts. Very stylish!
