I just read a disturbing article about a possible connection between micro chipping your dog and malignant tumor growth afterwards. I don’t pretend to be an expert in this area, but if I were about to micro chip my pet I would surely do some research on this possibility. What a tragedy to do something that is supposed to keep your dog safe, and discover it has only shortened his life!
It makes you realize that not all modern medical improvements are necessarily good. After all, animal bodies were not designed to have micro chips installed in them. What a wake-up call for pet owners!
If you have had your dog micro chipped, it might be a good idea to do some research on the procedure, and the possible hazards of your pet developing cancer. Then discuss this with your vet, and do what you feel is best for your dog or cat.
